 Northern Slender Ladies - Tresses' [Spiranthes lacera var. lacera]. Luzerne County, Pa. 7-5-26. It is thought that the markings inside the flower [in the green area] are possible nectar guides directing pollinating insects inside the flower to reach the column and the pollinarium.  ​
