This tiny fen orchid managed to have one small flower this year on June 9 and a little over two months later now has a robust seed capsule. Liparis loeselii is self pollinating, just like Platanthera clavellata, and just like P. clavellata is very successful each flower never failing to produce a seed capsule. Also notice the tiny plant to the left of the flowering plant, and just how much growth it has had this summer and will no doubt produce flowers next year. Dauphin County, Pa.
