A wonderful 40th wedding anniversary trip to St. Ignace and Mackinac Island. Not only does Mackinac Island forbid cars of any kind, it depends on Draft Horses for getting folks around and also for getting goods from place to place as well as services such as trach pick up to freight deliveries. These horses are well taken care of and it was quite a sight watching these giant animals pull trains of luggage up the hill to the Grand Hotel with frequent stops for rest. A place truly back in time.
